Childhood Obesity Month

I am so proud to say that our Richard Simmons Ask America PE Crusade is a founding member of the newly formed "National Childhood Obesity Council".  Having been an overweight child, I do not want any other children to experience the difficulties growing up that I did.

With the many other respected organizations that make up the Council, I am asking you to join us in supporting and carrying out HOUSE RESOLUTION 996/SENATE RESOLUTION 412 sponsored by Representatives Marcia Fudge (D-OH) and Kay Granger (R-TX), and Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and George Voinovich (R-OH).  This Resolution designates
SEPTEMBER 2010, as "National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month".

We need to send the message loud and clear that we want to see more done to combat this growing epidemic, and that we support this resolution.

As you have done so incredibly and loyally with FIT Kids, would you please take a moment to remind
your Representatives, that all of us with Ask America, stand behind this important Resolution too?  And as always.....thank you.  We have the ability to make change happen if we simply make the effort.

Please COPY and PASTE the following statement, or create your own, and click on the provided link to contact your Representative.  Again...THANK YOU!  (We promise to keep you informed on the progress of the RESOLUTION.)

Dear Leader,
I join with fitness expert Richard Simmons, in respectfully asking you to support House Resolution 996/Senate Resolution 412, designating SEPTEMBER 2010 as "Childhood Obesity Awareness Month".

Please help all of our children to grow up healthy and appreciated.
    Thank you.
